The journal Lecturas de Economía, edited by the Department of Economics at Universidad de Antioquia, is now inviting scholars to submit manuscripts for a special issue on impact evaluation of socio-economic programs and policies. The journal will consider contributions focusing on Colombia and Latin America that apply impact evaluation techniques such as regression discontinuity, matching methods, difference-in-differences, experimental, quasi-experimental and observational designs, among others, to the analysis of projects and policies with social and public scope. Some of the topics the journal is particularly interested in deal with the application of impact evaluation methods in areas such as labor policies, education, health care, the environment, public finance, industrial organization and competition policy, urban and regional development, among many others.

The special issue will be published in the second semester of 2018. Submissions are due on September 30, 2017. Articles can be written in Spanish or English, and have a maximum length of 8,000 words (including references). Short notes and book reviews, preferably on the proposed methods, are also accepted.
